      Black has never been so bright on Broadway. In 2004 our women turned it out, wowing critics, packing theaters and recieving countless awards, including three Tony's. In homage to all things glamorous, we showecase five leading ladies who are serving up high drama in this season's best retro-inspired gowns.

ImageThis past Broadway season, Tonya Pinkins starred in the acclaimed production of Tony Kushner's Caroline, or Change, receiving a Tony nomination.Image Pinkins first made her mark on The Great White Way as Sweet Anita in Jelly's Last Jam and received a Tony Award, Drama Desk Award, Outer Critic's Circle Award and Clarence Derwent Award. Pinkins also plays a principal role on the small screen as Livia Frye Cudahy in the soap opera All My Children.
